Pesticides or Herbicides

Just a quick note ... but an important one!
It seems to me that we can easily be fooled or deceived by words.
when we do not think about the difference.

When I want to buy strawberries and get told "no pesticides were used" then that does not mean a thing, they can still be toxic because herbicides were sprayed against the weeds.

The word herbicide contains the word 'herb' and a weed is a herb ... yes I know, there are healthy weeds around ... like for example chick weed.

And when I want to buy apples and they say "no herbicides were used" then this also does not mean anything because they also might be toxic because pesticides were sprayed against pesty insects.

The word pesticide contains the word pest that is a something that pesters me, all kinds of little critters we don't want around us.

We have to be careful as buyers, too often we get fooled ... we have to think and also read and get information and research ... we have google.

Just put in google "what are herbicides for?" "against what do we use pesticides?"
Or only the singe words 'herbicide' and 'pesticide' when you are a two finger typer.
